| What Do You Do With Leftover Turkey? |
Comment: I always save the carcass from bird meals to freeze as well as all scraps from
trimming bird meats--like trimming up boneless breasts, etc...I throw all scraps
and carcasses in zip bags and freeze. After a couple months, I throw it all in
a large stockpot with carrots, celery, onion, and herbs. You'd be surprised how
much meat falls off the bone and scraps to use in soups or for casseroles or
with dumplings. So you get meat for other meals that otherwise were scraps for
trash, and homemade stock for soups or cooking!
From leftovers, I make noodle casseroles, great turkey/chicken salad for
sandwiches, open faced sandwiches with gravy and meat, mashed potato pancakes,
turkey noodle soup or a stew. |

| What Do You Do With Leftover Grilled Meat? |
Comment: Leftover grilled chicken makes a great Chicken Salad!! Also, meats can be
added to casseroles as most casserole recipes call for meat to be cooked prior
to adding it to the dish and baking.
Adding to salads and used in tortillas,as mentioned above, are excellent as
well!
Mix into rice with seasonings or sauces, or mix into pasta dishes. |
