Cleaning Diamond Rings With Household Products

Submitted by: anonymous  03/05/2009 11:22 PM

I subscribe to the Real Simple magazine along with viewing their web site. They posted the following on how to clean a diamond ring with household products. To view the instructions, go to: Clean a Diamond Ring

The only "ingredients" you'll need are: warm water, ammonia, 3 bowls, rubber gloves, dishwashing liquid, old soft-bristled toothbrush & facial tissue

I take advantage of free cleanings at the jewelry stores in the mall when I get a chance.

I work in an independent jewelry store, not in a mall. We clean jewelry anytime for FREE. Now, we don't usually advertise this, but just ask your local jeweler and I bet they do it as well.

A little baking soda mixed with dish detergent works well too.

TO MAKE THAT BABY SHINE! JUST USE A FEW DROPS OF WOOLITE WITH WATER. YOU CAN EVEN MAKE ENOUGH TO KEEP IN A SMALL TUPPERWARE CONTAINER SO IT'S READY TO USE WHEN YOU NEED TO CLEAN AND ADD SOME AMAZING SPARKLE! JUST USE A TOOTHBRUSH.

Use (1) denture tab. Let soak and jewelry shines like new. Go to a dollar store and get the denture tabs cheaper.
