Walmart's Oak Creek at $2.97 a bottle is an excellent choice and is comparable with higher priced products.

If you live in a town with Trader Joes there is always 2buckChuck - Charles Shaw - the merlot is great but you can't beat 2 or 3 dollars for it.

Charles Shaw is actually an excellent wine and the taste is comparable to higher dollar bottles. My favorite is the Beaujolais, but this is only available certain times of the year so if you like this one stock up.
