My eye doctor told me to use baby shampoo to wash my eyelashes for better eye health. I have really dry eyes and supposedly the baby wash helps clean the oil ducts. I also wash my eyebrows while i am at it.

I also use this as a substitute for "feminine" shower gel, as it's ultra-sensitive for our lady bits and is a fraction of the price of things like Summer's Eve body gel, etc.

I use baby shampoo to shave with. Way better than foam or gel.

My eye doctor told me to use it to wash my eyelids, too. It works great on extremely dry eyes.

Make sure your baby shampoo doesnt contain Quanternium 15 which is carcinogen. Its a formaldehyde releaser. Check your ingredients before you continue to use this so much.

Johnson&Johnson products were just on the news fox29 so you can look it up for yourself.Cant remember the one name,it started with a i and they said if you were layering several products,i guess like washing with a soap and using a lotion they had more chance of cancer. Then all these coupons started coming out like crazy. They are from Canada when I started checking it out. They have those little buddies soaps,$1.00 coupon and you can find them for .97 cents and i give them away along with other things to the church but now dont feel 100% about it.

One of the best uses I ever heard of for baby (or, in fact, any mild) shampoo is for "ring around the collar". Shampoos are formulated to remove hair/body oils, so a little bit of baby shampoo rubbed into a dingy collar before washing does wonders to get the grime out. And it's way cheaper than special laundry products for the same purpose!

The best way to just simply AVOID ring around the collar is to wash your neck.

Well Duh!! That would be easy if you don't work in a job that didn't cause you to get dirty all day long!! Obviously if dirt collects on your neck within minutes of putting on a shirt because of your work, you can't stop all the time and wash your neck!!!

My husband is a clean and tidy person, he would go nuts if he couldn't take a shower twice a day, and he works at a job that doesn't cause him to get dirty all day long - he still gets ring around the collar. It's unavoidable.

I heard that the reason baby shampoo doesn't burn your eyes is because they take the same old irritating shampoo and add an anesthetic agent to it to numb your eyes (or skin) so you don't feel the irritation.

i don't think so. i've used the plain old nasty shampoos for years and have incredibly thick, long, straight hair and none of them ever burnt my eyes. i just recently tried some J*J baby shampoo and i'll never go back. it's not that there are no tears. it's the cleaning power. and it rinses CLEAN. totally remarkable after all these years.
