| Research. And then research more. Use Carfax. If buying from a private party, check the VIN that is ON the car against any number given to you by phone or in any ad or craig's list. Make sure they match! And never, never send money to an escrow company "handling the sale" of any car. SEE the car before buying. IF IT LOOKS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, THEN IT IS! |
