DIY Eco-Friendly Countertop Cleaner

Submitted by: BrendaTipper  03/29/2009 6:20 PM

Easy, cheap, effective and eco-friendly counter top cleaner. All you need is a spray bottle, some baking soda and hot water. Mix 5 Tablespoons of baking soda to 1 quart of hot water and mix until the baking soda dissolves. Then pour into a spray bottle and you've got an all purpose cleaner that is great for coutnertops.

a box of baking soda sells for about $1, so the savings her are big! compare to an eco-friendly all purpose cleaner like method which costs about $3.79/bottle. I just use the old cleaner bottle and make my own for pennies.

After cleaning, how do you sanitize? With a vinegar solution? I use a paste with soda on my kitchen cabinets. It works great on stains.
