Newspapers - Great for Window Washing

Submitted by: anonymous  04/03/2009 11:10 AM

Newspaper works better for window washing than paper towels. The carbon in the newsprint leaves them steak free and lint free. It takes a little to get used to because newspaper has a different consistency than paper towels and the print turns fingers gray if you are washing a lot of windows. It washes off easily or just wear gloves. It really works great.

Not only does this save on paper & trash as long as cleaner is a green one the paper can still be recycled.

Cleaner isn't necessary. A little vinegar water works well. When I'm cleaning my mirrors, I take what I can into the bathroom before my shower and let them fog up. Once most of the fod is clear, I just wipe them down. If the newspaper is still a little moist, but still fairly dry, I'll take it around the house to what I couldn't take into the bathroom. If there's just a tiny spot, I put like a drop of water on the wadded newspaper, wipe it over that spot, then rub it dry with the dry part of the newspaper. I never use cleaning solutions for windows and mirrors, and they're all clear, streak-free, and beautiful.
