The age old tip "Pay yourself first" still bears repeating. This is the practice of saving. Start small if you have to. Even on a tight budget you may still be able to tuck $5.00 a week away if you cut back somewhere else.
The point is to get into the habit.
Try to think about a raise or a tax refund as savings. It will add up quickly.
One friend pays at the register only with bills and puts all of her change in a savings jar.Whatever works for you. |
