Robins Egg Centerpiece & Easter Decor

Submitted by: anonymous  04/08/2009 9:07 PM

For my table center piece I am using colored eggs. Use enough water to cover the eggs and turn off the heat when they come to a boil. Then add one container of blue food coloring,a few drops of green and a half cup of vinegar (makes robins egg blue). Let sit for 12 minutes, covered, and stir once or twice. Pour off the colored water and let the eggs dry in the pan. Place the eggs on a plate and surround with dried twigs or prop them up inside a grapevine wreath. Now you have a birds nest centerpiece.

Price Rite has hyacinth plants priced at 3 for $10.00 dollars. I bought three and scattered them through the house. Easter decor done!

P.S.
Use the centerpiece for egg salad lunches next week and plant the hyacinth bulbs in the yard.
