Reduce Redness & Rosacea

Submitted by: anonymous  04/10/2009 4:22 PM

I have mild rosacea in my cheeks and I read that avoiding spicy foods and alcohol (which is virtually impossible for me) and avoiding products that contain acids will reduce the dilation of the blood vessels that cause the redness and that you should use toners with natural ingredients to help to balance the skin.

Avoiding spicy foods doesn't help. See your dermatologist and they will give you a skin wash and a low level antibiotic that will instantly cool the redness. My hubby waited 8 years to do this and now he looks YEARS younger. Don't wait!

I also had rosacea, went to the dermatologist and it didn't help. I started using the mineral makeup from Maybelline. It went away within 2 weeks. As long as I used the makeup regularly it stays away.
