| Soaker Hoses for Vegetable Gardens |

I have a big yard and I also put in a big garden. For the garden, I plant directly into the prepared and enhanced soil. For most veggies, I plant 2 rows about a foot apart with a soaker hose down the middle of the two rows. If the soaker hose is too long and I have to loop it around to the next row, I plant carrots, lettuce, kolhrabi, or beets on both sides of the loop. It would be nice if you could plant a row, or two as long as the soaker hose.
Plant different kinds of lettuces all in one area so you can make an interesting salad. I also go out every day and pull weeds or hoe them out.
Be careful not to cut the hose! The soaker hose cuts down on water usuage and evaporation. You only have to open the faucet a mite after you have the hose filled. I imagine you could 'burst' the hose with too much pressure. And, these hoses are reusuable year after year. They are made of recyled rubber.
