We used to take the family to Disney for vacations, but the cost is outrageous for the 15 of us. So last summer we returned to the camp that we grew up going to, for $30 a night we got two campsites and we splurged on power and water hookup on 1 site for an extra $20/night.
The kids had the best time though and we enjoyed a lot of quality time together. And it was safe, the kids could walk down to the lake on their own, no vehicles to watch out for, just the stray bear. ha.
We split up the meals between the 3 families, so each was responsible for a breakfast, a lunch and a dinner. It worked out great and we spent at most $100 on food and lodging for 3 nights.
We had such a great time, we are going back again this year. |
