I just got this email from ING Direct. If you open a checking account and use your debit card 3 times in the first 45 days of opening the account, they will deposit $50 in your account on day 50.
I am thinking of dropping my bank of america account and switching to ING, $50 is $50! Not sure if I got this offer because I already have an ING Savings account, or if anyone is eligible, but might be worth a try.
Here is what my email said:
Earn a $50 bonus for using your card.
Open your account by May 31, 2009 and use your Debit Mastercard® to make 3 signature-based transactions within the first 45 days. On day 50, we'll put $50 in your account.
