Money Down The Drain

Submitted by: John G.  06/07/2009 1:31 AM

Measure for 1 minute how much water comes out of shower head. If more than 2 gallons YOU ARE WASTING BIG MONEY!

Install both a flow control valve and a low flow shower head. Both readily available at most good hardware stores.

If you don't, you might as well be using the shower drain as your piggy bank!

I personally save water while in the shower by catching a large pan with warm water, and an large old plastic glass. wet my entire body and then soap down all over using whatever i use soap, body scrub or shower gel. i then pour water over my body with the glass, then i turn the shower on and rinse off with clean clear water. therefore i have saved all the water that would have normally gone down the drain while i was bathing my body. this can be done buy purchasing sprayer that can be attached by taking of the shower head and connecting the sprayer. the sprayer are very inexpensive, and can be purchased at discount stores and hardware stores.
