Share & Eat Out for Less

Submitted by: Anne  06/30/2009 10:11 AM

My husband and I share a meal, but the amount of food is almost two full-size meals. At one fast food place has a double-meat burger, which we split; and we up-size the fries and drink for just 69 cents more -- total less than $7 for the two of us! The only difference is that we eat less bread (one bun, instead of two).

A restaurant has a "monster burger." It's double meat and it comes with "bottomless" fries. It fills us up for half the price ($10.29)

A local Chinese restaurant has lemon chicken for $6.25, and it includes ice tea and an egg roll. It's enough for two, so I bring home half and eat it the next day for lunch.

This is a great tip Anne.

It also works well with kids. Instead of paying over-inflated prices for kids meals, simply have the kids split an adult sized meal or have one kid and one adult split a meal.

I always put half of my meal in a box for the next day. I also order the kiddie meal anyplace that will let me do it!
