HDTV Purchase on the Cheap

Submitted by: SurfGranny  07/31/2009 4:13 PM

We just bought a 42" TV at Walmart...$589. VIZIO. Then we purchased..also at Walmart..a TV table with shelves, 2 doors and a drawer..48". It needed assembly, but we are both in our 80's and we had no problem. We just went slow and carefully read each step. The table cost $109. Tax was $49. Total - $747. and it is beautiful!

The TV is digital and HD and thin screen. Other stores were quoting us $1400 and up for smaller screens! The table is a beautiful piece of walnut furniture which compliments our furnishings.

Good luck with your purchase....last year...14 months to be exact... we purchased a visio 32" flat screen plasma tv and It is now in the shop. We were told that they had used substandard parts in the production of this tv and that is why it wore out. Hope you have better luck.
