| Cheap Drink When Dining Out or on the Road |

I was paying a dollar fifty for a soda in the lunch room and $2.50 to $3.00 when I went out to a restaurant. I now order ice water and add a crystal light packet of peach tea. There are different brands and flavors to appeal to everyone. It is much cheaper then $2 to $3 dollars a drink. Also I usually eat half my meal and take the rest home for another meal like lunch or dinner.
I don't buy bottled water anymore. I have a Britta water filter and I fill bottles with water from home, freeze them and take them with me in the car for the kids when we go on road trips.
You can slip the crystal light packets into your pocket and use them when you take the kids to the amusement park, movies etc. I tell the kids that if they don't get snacks at the movies I will make some at home after the movie. I used to go to the dollar store and buy movie candy and take that with us but now they do not allow you to bring your own candy into the movies. |
