More Useable Bathroom Space

Submitted by: Granny Smithe  08/08/2009 11:14 AM

We wash towels & washcloths once a week, after all how dirty are you when you get out of the shower - it's just clean water you're removing. We purchased a tension shower curtain rod (you can buy the plastic cover if it's a metal rod) and put it in the shower/tub area against the wall opposite the functional shower rod. This way wet washcloths can be hung up and used again without getting stinky and sour.

If each family member is assigned a different color - it works real well. You can also put a plastic hook with a clothespin built in and hang up other items too. More useful space - less mess!

This is a really good tip. Love it. I want to send it to my kids.

I'm sorry, but even though you just came out of the shower, you still dry private parts and I don't want to use that towel later on my face. Also, you are still scrubbing off dry skin particles. I don't want to wipe that back on myself next time.

You could purchase one of those towels which indicates which end of the towel is for the face and which is for the other end of the person. (That wouldn't take care of the dry skin particles problem, though.)
