Eating a spoonful of mustard sounds worse than having the heart burn ;) how in the world did you discover this?

I'm with you on the spoonful of mustard. It sounds really awful. I wonder if you could disolve the mustard in an ounce of water and just gulp it down while holding your nose?

I've been told that apple cider vinegar helps with heartburn by getting your proper ph balance so you digest your meal better and have less indigestion.

What helps me the most is to not overeat at any meal. If I do not overfill by stomach I do not have any gastric distress at all.

heartburn-acid reflux-upset tummy- I mix 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar with 2 Tbsp. honey. Drink it down and pain goes away. Do not use this if you are on any medications!!

A really good heartburn reliever is natural black licorice. Kookaburra is an excellent brand and can be found at Trader Joe's. The licorice is very soft and chewy. The trick is to chew a piece as long as you can before you swallow so that you swallow as much juice as you can at one time. It coats your stomach without burning. We like black licorice, which is good, because we've found that the other flavors, although natural, don't work on the heartburn.

When my son was on Ibuprofen I looked in a book for side effects with herbs and medicine... I read Licorice and Ibuprofen has side effects... Double check with your doctor or pharmacist.... Plus becareful with honey with little ones....
