Thrifty Holiday Gift Decor for Outside

Submitted by: Karen DiNunzio  08/27/2009 7:55 AM

I have often seen people put holiday gifts on the front porch as a holiday decoration sometimes (here in the north) on an old sled. I have come up with a cost effective and lasting way to create this look.

Use empty boxes and to weigh them down us some rocks or bricks if you have some around to prevent them from blowing away.

Go to the dollar store and buy holiday vinyl tablecloths and cut them up as your "wrapping paper." I use duct tape where it can't be seen to tape the presents. Sometimes I use my ribbon to secure the entire group of gifts to the sled.
