DIY "Beach Hair"

Submitted by: anonymous  08/27/2009 3:31 PM

Many "beach hair" products are sold to get that just-off-the-beach, wavy look. I read online about a DIY recipe. I don't know who to give credit to for this, but I thank them. I tried it and love it.

In an empty spray bottle pour in 6 oz. of water; 1 teaspoon of sea salt(finely ground is best); 1 teaspoon of conditioner (she recommended Suave Coconut, because it is cheap and smells tropical); and 1 teaspoon of hair gel (any cheap brand will do). Shake to mix it all up and it's ready to go.

After shampooing, spray beach spray generously throughout your hair, blowdry as usual. Upside down will give more fullness.

Can also be sprayed on dry hair and scrunched to bring out natural waves.

Please note, I can't remember if it was a teaspoon or tablespoon, so you may have to mess around with the measurements till you find what works for you.
