Calendar Reuse

Submitted by: Granny Smithe  10/17/2009 11:17 AM

I work in a bank and we have calendars in fancy brass holders on our desks. Each day is two new pages on the calendar, you know the kind - turn the page, new day. Most of us use an electronic device for our "day timer" so these are just to remind us what the date is and to write down a one or two word reminder if we need it. At the end of the year, these are replaced and the old year is thrown in the trash.

Not any more - I take them home and use them for scratch paper. The area that may be used for lists and such is more than adequate and the paper is small enough to fit in a drawer or cabinet for convenience. Great for shopping lists and notes left on the counter as reminders.

You can make great business size envelopes out of the picture part of the calendar. Use a sticker to isolate the area where you put the name and address. I have a bunch of stickers for VCR/cassette tapes that I gleaned from my neighbor. I put them on gifts as well.
