When a bar of soap becomes too small to use, I put them in my clothing drawers as a sachet.

I also tear out the little scented pages in magazines advertising perfumes. For men use the shaving lotion ones, place them in your drawers in your dresser.

When my bars of soap become too small to use daily, I save them for traveling. When you take one full bar, and forget it at a hotel, you have to buy another, instead if I forget a used bar, I have another for the next place I stay. This serves me well.
