| Check for Online Savings Before You Buy!!! |

| Decided to buy a ceiling fan to help with cooling costs this summer. After a quick google search I found several online retailers with good prices. I opted for this fan on Bellacor.com http://www.bellacor.com/productdetail/109125.htm at 15% below list price. Then did a quick search online for coupon codes at bellacor and found a code for 10% off: XTZ585, so saved $15.30 and got the price down to $137.70. Did some online comparison shopping and found the same fan for $129.12 on lightingonthenet.com, but they added $3.85 for insurance and handling bringing the total to 132.97. I still went with the bellacor.com purchase because lightingonthenet was not clear about what was included with my purchase. So figured it was worth it to go with a more reputable retailer. I was just about to go through with my purchase on bellacor, instead of checking with credit card rewards shopping sites as was just being lazy and didn't think bellacor would have any affiliations with the credit card companies. Luckily, I did check with Citi Bonus Cash Center as they offered 6% cashback with every purchase made through their site. So all told I will pay $129.43 for this fan. Will report back when I have installed the fan. It definitely pays to search online for additional savings before completing an online purchase. |
