Really Cheap DIY Glass Cleaner

Submitted by: paulina  02/24/2010 7:42 PM

I used to spend good money buying good brand cleaners for mi windows, computer screen, tv screen, mirrors, etc. Then I tried this really easy homemade cleaner and now I clean as much as I want for almost free

1/2 cup of alcohol
2 cups of water

mix them, put them into a sprayer and use it.

Ammonia. You need a teaspoon of ammonia too. It makes a huge difference. Sometimes I also add a drop of dish soap for really dirty windows.

In v the old country, when I was a kid, my mother used viniger, regular vinigar and water. There were no pray bottles. She used a rag, wet the window down and used newspaper to dry. There were no streaks. I think a 1:2 mixture should be good, or 1 : 3 . I would be careful adding any other chemicals or cleaners. O don't know how vinigar and ammonia would react, but I don't think you would need anything else.
