Cheap Detangler

Submitted by: Gloria Brill  04/22/2010 3:07 AM

Easy as 1 - 2- 3

1)Recycle an old spray bottle

2)Fill 1/4 with your favorite hair conditioner

3)Fill the rest with water & shake really well!

That's it! Just before using on your childs hair be sure to shake vigourusly & use sparingly- a few sprays goes a long way:)

Another tip:
Always comb/brush from ends to scalp.

Forget a child's hair...I'm going to use this on MY moppy hair!

If you do use this sparingly, be sure to keep it refrigerated. Soaps, shampoos, and conditioners often have just enough preservatives and may eventually go bad if diluted. (Now, any critters that enjoy eating conditioner are probably harmless enough to people. But better safe than sorry.)

From ends to scalp? That's "ratting" or "teasing" the hair, isn't it??

To "comb from ends to scalp", start detangling hair at the ends of of the hair, one section at a time then work your way up the hair towards the scalp.

you start at the ends and work the knots out from the bottom so you are not ripping the hair by draging the comb and knots out from the top. Gosh I thought everyone knew that.

I've been using this on my kids for years & it works great. I use a really cheap conditioner & can use a lot of it - I only add about a tablespoonful to a pint of warm water.
