Links: Finance for Teens, $5 Meals, Turn Gift Cards to Cash

Wanted to highlight a few interesting personal finance articles from around the web:

There was an interesting conversation on FrugalDad two Sunday’s ago about When is the right time to transition financial responsibilities to your teens?

Last month SquawkFox featured: Cheap, Easy, and Healthy Family Dinners for $5. A great article that includes recipes and tantalizing pictures.

DoughRoller had a good post on How to Turn Gift Cards into Cash

Finally, this short article got me chuckling. It’s about a maintenance man who earned $100,000 a year and lived in a paint shed. Now that's frugal!

Also at walmart, about every 6 months or so, the planning modulars for merchandise change. This means that new merchandise is coming in and some of the older brands of merchandise is going out.

This is the exact time to check for clearance prices on displays and older merchandise.

I got a carpet steamcleaner for $50.00. The only thing missing was the box. I also got a smaller weight bench for just $9.00.

Keep an eye out for these deals or make friends with a few associates. They will gladly tell you when to look for deals.
