10 Free Ways to Exercise at Your Desk

Submitted by: Tip Hero  12/22/2010 9:33 AM

It can certainly be difficult to find ways to exercise when you're stuck in a cubicle for most of your day. You can always sneak in some exercise by parking far away from your job or running around with your kids after work, but what about between the hours of 9 and 5?

Unplggd has come up with a great roundup of videos that will show you how to stay fit and healthy without leaving your cubicle, or in some cases, your own chair. Here are a few of them:

  • Wall Squats: using only a wheelless (or locked) chair, a wall and a desk, you can squeeze in 15 minutes of exercise in your very own cubicle. Take a look at this instructional video from Sparkpeople:

  • Yoga for Posture: do you often find yourself hunching over your computer? Want to relieve some of that "computer desk ache?" Improve your posture and focus on health and energy with this 10 minute yoga-inspired video by Embodied Living:

  • Ab Workout in Your Chair: who says you can't work on your six pack while sitting at your desk? Check out this easy chair exercise:

Great post! It proves that exercise doesn't have to be a big deal but can be done nearly anywhere and anytime.
