Prescription Eyeglasses for $8.00?

Submitted by: floristjan  09/25/2008 2:06 PM

Go to www.zennioptical.com. $8.00 frames are okay, the $20.00 frames choices are quite impressive. I HAVE NOT ordered yet, but when I get my new RX next week, plan to order 3 pairs.

I PURCHASED MY GLASSES FROM ZENNI AND SAVED A BUNDLE. THE QUALITY WAS VERY GOOD AND WHEN I NEED A NEW PAIR I WILL GO BACK TO THEM FOR SURE!

Our family has been ordering glasses from zenni optical for several years now. We have probably ordered at least 10 pair or more. The quality is very good, and the price is unbelievable. We usually average about $25 for one pair of glasses. You can't beat that. It usually takes 1-2 weeks to get your order. We will definitely keep using them and referring others to them.

I googled them since reading your posts, which I thank you for. However, I have the same question for you as I had for the $39. deal: Doesn't anyone but me need the frames adjusted? What do you do about that when you purchase from an online store? Just curious. I guess I could go without the adjusting to save on having an extra pair, but I don't have an extra pair now and haven't for the last 40+ years, so I don't think I'll have a need for an extra pair in the future either. In addition, I'm in a rural area and my optometrist has even had me come in after advising him a contact lens got broken in my eye (Don't ask how, ok?)and I couldn't get one of the pieces out. So I know if my glasses would break, he'd come in after hours to fix them. I have 20/800+ vision so he knows I can't go without correction. Yep! Good doctor care here.

I adjust my glasses myself, get a glass repair kit, tight the screws yourself. the rest of the adjustments they make involve bending the arms a little so they fit better. I am sure you could also ask your eye doctor to do it for you.

Where can one get cheap lenses? My lenses usually run about $250.

I believe most eye glass places will adjust free of charge even if you didn't purchase your glasses from them. I'd suggest asking and if there is a few I don't think it would be much.

What a great tip!! Thank you so much! I had no idea how I was going to replace my glasses I lost. I need them for driving and am scaring myself at night. My dog's refusing to ride with me in the rain!!
