Rent Movies 2-For-1 at Blockbuster with $10 Discount Card

I don't rent movies on line. I don't see any reason to pay a monthly fee. But I do Buy the $10 discount card at Blockbuster. It costs $10 a year and allows you to rent a second movie for free on Mondays Wednesdays and Thrusdays. It also gives you a free rental after a certain number of rentals in a month AND a free monthly rental by email.

It helps to pass a Blockbuster a couple of times a week when running doing other things and those movies are small enough to fit in the bag I carry -- which is large enough to carry what I need to every day. No extra trip then. I am there anyway.

I take time to view what is coming in and writing them down in my planner, so I know exactly what I want to rent and have second and third choices too.

I don't rent when the movie is only a two day rental. I can wait until it is a week. There is always something else to rent.

You can rent DVDs at your local library for free. I used to pay at least $4/movie at the DVD rental store until someone told me about the library. I could not believe it when I found out that all the DVDs I had paid to rent in the past year were available at the library for FREE!

Although some movies at Blockbusters say two day rental, there is a seven day grace period where you are not charged late fees as long as you return it before the seventh day.

We've done the Blockbuster Rewards program for about three years, and it's definitely worth it for us. There isn't a library on our regular work/school route, so we'd end up paying overdue fees. In addition to the 2 for 1 deal early in the week and the monthly free rental, you get a free movie after 5 paid rentals. We don't have cable or satellite, so this is our only home entertainment expense.
