Stock Up on Canned Goods

Submitted by: anonymous  11/11/2008 6:26 PM

Kroger is having their infamous buy 10 for $10 sale, but they are also having their 10 for $5 sale on their canned veggies (i.e., creamed corn, green beans, pinto beans, and some fruits). They are the Kroger brand, but at fifty cents a piece, they are quite a deal. They are usually 69 cents. They have Betty Crocker boxed instant potatoes on sale for $1.50, and have a buy 2 get one free coupon next to them (makes them $1 a piece). Not too long ago name-brand veggies were up to 98 cents a piece at Wal-Mart. We stocked up big time!

I agree!! I only buy canned green beans (name brand), cream of mushroom soup, boxed stuffing, etc, before Thanksgiving and stock up for the whole year. I combine the sale prices with coupons - the savings are tremendous!!
