DIY Aqua Globe for Watering Your Plants

Use an empty 12oz or 16oz plastic coke bottle. Cut off the white plastic ring below the screw-on cap. Make a small hole on the neck of the bottle. I use a small hot nail to do this. Fill the bottle with water and replace the lid. Turn it upside down in your plant making sure the hole is in the soil. The roots will suck out the water as needed. Also, you're recycling.

I made "aqua globes" from empty wine bottles for my patio container garden. Just clean the inside of the empty bottle, add water, tip upside down and push into the dirt in your planter. The heavy glass bottles hold up great outdoors, don't blow away when empty & the different colored bottles are prettier. These were great for my tomato & pepper planters, as it kept the water off the leaves. I even use the smaller skyy blue bottles in my house plants.
