Save Money With an Electric Orange Checking Account

Submitted by: anonymous  11/29/2008 7:16 PM

I established an account with Electric Orange online (ING Direct) this year. It has saved me money in overdrafts due to my bank holding my deposits so that checks submitted after the deposits rack up charges. Electric Orange is free -- the only charge I have incurred is when I accidently overdraft -- but the overdraft is picked up by an over limit line they establish. The next deposit you make pays for your overdraft as well as a small fee. I plan to withdraw my money and my business from banks as we know them today. No more $40 overdraft fees for me.

ING Direct also pays a better interest rate than most banks on their savings account.
