Tricks to Save on Car Washing

Submitted by: MzScarlett  12/18/2008 2:05 PM

Microfiber cloths are totally awesome & designed to be used with water only. Found watching Don Aslet cleaning products on QVC; they use them almost exclusively & have for years. Are you throwing your cash in the trash?

Cleaning your car with these with water only, they have 200,000 dirt & bacteria grabbing dots per square inch; will still be going when you would have used over 700,000 paper towels.

I use them to clean the windows, mirrors, & also on dashboard, doors etc; I keep some in trunk in case they are needed;

You can find generic ones in auto sections; I got my last bunch from HSN durafiber which is the next step up from microfiber 40 for $19.95 when they had the free shipping. I did find a "hubcap" microfiber scrubber there for $1 which I actually am using in the kitchen! It works extremely well! They also have chamois ones as well!

If you live in a drought area, you can put a bucket in the shower & while water is warming it can catch the "cold" water & any extra as showering.

You can use this to wash outside of care using the microfiber clothes: 1 as washing 1 for drying; YES! No other cleaning supplies are even needed!

I don't know, I prefer the bag of free rags I use and wash. I do like the bucket in the shower idea though. I do that on a small scale at the kitchen sink and then water the plants.
