We live in the country and try to live as self sufficiently as we can. To some this may seem ridiculous, but it is a way of life for us. I love learning from all the folks great tips.
1. Heat with wood
2. Cut our own wood or find free sources
3. Raise a big garden
4. Can, dry, freeze our food
5. Bake our own bread
6. Make our own soymilk
7. Check out DVDs or videos from the library
8. Shop at yard sales
9. No credit card use
10.Magic Jack for long distance
11.Buy only items that are on sale
12.Combine shopping in one trip, once a week
13.Try to maintain good healthy principles so as to avoid doctors.
14. Use herbs and natural remedies
15. Frequent state and national parks for entertainment
16. Avoid eating out unless we have to- maybe 4 times a year. |
