| I garden & am in a mobile home; our local school offers "garden plots" for $25 a year, complete with water that you can plant in! Many places offer "community gardens" you can grow extra in as well, or "share cropping" share farming for fresh eggs, etc; in thriftyfun they have a plan for "make it yourself" upside down planters for tomatoes, potatoes, etc (just to expand your growing area); also strawberries, some other things do most excellently in hanging planters (which actually do not have to hang); we also grow onions in them; & if deep enough like I have an old washtub you can grow potatoes in them! |
