I went looking for a 2009 Weekly Planner calendar for my desk. I went to a Staples, where they wanted (I have to take a deep breath here) from twenty to forty dollars for a Weekly Planner, with a plastic cover, and all the bells and whistles like international time zone charts and places to note down family birthdays, and other useless nonsense.
So I left in a huff and went to Target, where they had some cutesy little pre-teen designs in Weekly Planners for twelve to seventeen dollars.
So I left in a huff and went to K-mart, where they had no Weekly Planners at all.
Finally, in disgust, I went to the local dollar store, and sho 'nuff, right there, for one dollar and nine cents tax, was THE Weekly Planner I had wanted all along.
