Shop Dollar Tree for Cleaning Items

Submitted by: anonymous  01/10/2009 10:38 AM

I saw Clark Howard this morning with his favorite items from Dollar Tree. I actually think he missed two of the best....Quick Erasers (2for $1.00) and Cleaning Wipes (20 for $1.00) Quick Erasers are no different than Magic Erasers and Cleaning Wipes are for use in your Swiffer Sweeper. I can tell absolutely no difference. Way cheaper than Costco on the name brands (I am a big Costco shopper). I just go to Dollar Tree and stock up so I don't make numerous trips.

I LOVE Dollar Tree but hadn't tried those two items yet--they're on my shopping list for next time. Dollar Tree is one of THE BEST stores out there--we get everything from cleaning products, groceries, cosmetics and toiletries, gifts, and the like there.

i love the dollar tree as well. I buy alot of things there. In my area they have a new air freshner that you can place and stick any where made by snuggles and it smells great. I also have used the floor sweeper clothes like the swiffer, the magic eraser, and they have a 3 pack of pamolive bar soap for only a dollar so I stock up there. It is for everyone in the family.

I make most of my cleaning products even laundry detergent and might add it is the best detergent that I have ever used. I have foe kids and a husband that gets really dirty at work and it gets everything out, seriously. I love it and will always use it. It smell great even better than tide to me. You can use any kind of bar soap to make it. I use the pamolive soap from dollar tree sometimes and whatever else i can find on sale.

Email me if you want recipe I would love to share any tips I have. I am a 28 year old homemaker since I was 18 years old( I married very young) but thats another story. Love at first sight.LOL I don't communicate with any adult just a 3,4,9, and 10 month old baby and they are all girls and drama queens, so i would love communicate and chat with any other homemakers. Please share your advice and tips with me as well.

Dana, I would LOVE to have your recipes for homemade cleaning products! I was a career gal for 12 years before cancer forced me to retire--now that I'm disabled and my income's drastically reduced, I am cutting costs whereever I can. Homemaking is sure work itself!
Thanks so much!

Dayna, I would love to chat with you and talk about homemaking saving ideas. After a car accident 2 years ago that left me disabled with fibromyalgia it would be nice to have someone to chat with. Let me know if you want to chat and I will give you my email.
