| Discounts on Tickets |

I noticed recently when I went to TicketsNow.com, selected two tickets for purchase, then abandoned my shopping cart (left the purchase page), and went back through the main part of the website, there was a note at the top of the page (top right corner) that said "Shopping Cart – 2 tickets" for the event that I had searched for, and a line through the original per ticket price, with a new, lower price in red next to it, along with the note "Act Now, Limited Time Offer". When I clicked through to the purchase page, they had applied a discount (just labeled "discount"). Since they also charge a $14.40 "service charge" per ticket, I guess they can eat into their profits a little bit to get me to purchase.
Note that I was not registered prior to my search on TicketsNow, and went through the purchase process as a new customer (had to enter my email address). You may need to do the same to get this (and may even have to delete your TicketsNow.com cookie if you’re already registered). This may also be a targeted promotion or a test, so there’s no guarantee you’ll get it, but I found it interesting so wanted to pass it along. |
