Use "Select-a-Size" Paper Towels and Save

Submitted by: anonymous  01/24/2009 4:18 PM

I always buy "select-a-size" paper towels (each paper towel has a perforation down the middle) They fold easily next to a plate, great for tiny spills, quickly wipe a childs mouth or to catch drips from bottles of ketchup, oil, etc. They are more sanitary than sponges & use less water.

I just went out and bought cloth napkins and cheap wash clothes. I will use the cheap wash clothes for cleaning up spills and the napkins for our fingers. We are just trying to do our part to reduce waste, but hope it will also save us money!

I buy the select a size (which usually cost a little more) and my husband still rips off a whole bunch for a small job! What am I going to do with him! Guess I'll just buy regular sized paper towels.

I get regular paper towels and cut the roll in half down to the cardboard. Inexpensive select a size with more towels than the select a size. This way, I have full sheets without perforations if I need them, from a different roll, of course.
