Exercise and the Frugal Dog

Submitted by: anonymous  02/13/2009 6:59 PM

My dog-child Buddy loves to take me for a walk and we both enjoy the exercise. Buddy loves tennis balls and they can be quite expensive to buy all the time, so being the frugal dog that Buddy can be, we walk to the local park alot. He loves it, as he usually always finds a tennis ball or two! He is truly the frugal dog, we haven't had to buy tennis balls in months and he is always so proud of his frugal find!

If these are *dog* parks, the tennis balls should be left there so other dogs can play. My dog park budgets for tennis balls every year - so people/dogs who walk off with them are stealing. Dog parks are supported mostly by donations from people who use the dog park frequently.

If this is not a dog park, good for Buddy :)

I never let my dog play with dog park balls, for the same reason my kids can't brush with someone else's tooth brush.

My only concern about the original post is the fact that Buddy is running in a public park without a leash, which is against most city ordinances.

I love Buddy........he's a great frugal dog! Plus he's probably getting lots of excercise for his owner.

Good for Buddy. I LOVE IT. Sounds very eco friendly also.
